The core curriculum designed for British
American University students provide a solid
foundation of knowledge for the serious minded
mature student. The Bachelor programmes are
comprised of a combination of standard
traditional courses in selected programmes of
study, in conjunction with the non-traditional
method of earning university credit. These two
globally accepted educational practices are the
perfect solutions to young adults and mid-career
adults who want to earn their Bachelor degree.
All students can complete the requirements for a
Bachelor degree at there selected pace.
Anyone who has earned a secondary Diploma or the
international equivalent (foreign documents
accepted) may apply for admission to the
Bachelor degree programme. A completed
application form is required before an admission
decision can be made. Particular attention
should be paid to the Academic, Work and Field
Experiences section of the Application, because
this information will help the Admissions Office
to determine how many academic credits you will
be awarded (Note: copies of diplomas,
transcripts, certificates, etc. are helpful). In
addition, please submit all other documented
experiences, which can be utilized and
translated into University credits. Please feel
comfortable in submitting a full personal
portfolio for evaluation. The following are the
course and graduation requirements for all
bachelor degree programmes within British
American University. It is important to note
that course and graduation requirements may vary
due to each student’s academic evaluation,
conducted upon a candidate’s acceptance to the
University.
1. Qualifications

2. Work Experience
120 credits
3. Dissertation Project

All students within the British American
University must submit a Bachelor Dissertation
Project. This is a research paper, with a
minimum of 20,000 words in length. It should be
researched, typewritten, double-spaced, bound
and should reflect the student’s own choice of
subject matter. For further information on the
Bachelor Dissertation Project, please refer to
the Student Handbook. The Bachelor Dissertation
grade will be included on your final academic
transcript.
After the completion of all requirements, the
Graduate Review Committee (GRC) will conduct a
final assessment of each student’s performance.
The Final Assessment Report will then be placed
into the student's permanent file to document
the rationale of awarding a Bachelor Degree.
