BAU has devised a special scheme of Recognition
and Validation for prior experiences and
learning as a comprehensive service to earn a
Affirmation Degree Qualification in recognition
of their individual achievements. This
recognition of qualifications is for the purpose
of enhancing and satisfying individuals who are
seeking to clime up their career path. These
validated awards will benefit not only the
individuals but also the organisations that the
individual is attached. It is a priority for
senior working individuals, who could not attain
the Red Brick Universities at their early days.
These qualifications are taken to the doorstep
of every individual who are seeking for the
Professional Status in their life span.
The applicant must duly complete application
forms and accompanied with the appropriate
evaluation fee with full supportive copies of
documentations such as employment record must be
documented with certified true copies. . The
admission is strictly on merit basis and
applicant is solely responsible for the contents
of the Application Form.
Candidates are examined and assessed by External
assessors and advisers who are appointed to
audit the quality of qualification for validated
awards.
This academy will be the route for the
endorsement for Accreditation of Career
Progress Development (ACPD), via the
External Accreditation Centres (EAC). The
Westminster International Varsity (WIV) will be
processing all the applications and will be
appointing appropriate representative
institutions internationally to act as the EAC
for the University. The lifelong career
achievements coupled with validation of prior
learning, training and experiences of candidates
will be taken into account and they will be
awarded appropriate Vocational or Professional
Degree Qualifications. The candidates have to
obtain the necessary Credit Units for the
appropriate Degree awards and must attend Viva
Exam.
The Westminster International Varsity (WIV)
will be the academy that will elevate candidates
who have followed various training and short
coursed offered by their employers or elsewhere.
Affirmation of Prior Experience and Learning (APEL)
scheme is applied to confirm their achievement.
. This APEL scheme will be offered by the
appointed Management Affirmation Faculties (MAF).
The person’s current position of employment will
be taken into account and they will be
facilitated with appropriate professional
seminars, workshops and training to help them
achieve the required Credit Units in order to
obtain the appropriate Vocational or
Professional Degree Qualifications. The WIV will
be processing all the applications and will be
appointing appropriate representatives
internationally to act as the MAF for the
University.
